Create Point By Distance & OffsetPoint by Distance & Offset

Availability: Computations module. (Not available in LISCAD Lite)
Menu Selection: From the Computations task, select the Create/Point command and the Method/Distance & Offset command.
Functionality: Creates a new point from an existing point by a distance along a reference direction and offset from that reference direction.
The point created will have the currently defined point attributes.

Actions:
  • The OK Button creates the new point.
  • The new point identifier may also be determined by using the Next or Last buttons.
Notes:
  • The Elevation Control will only be available if the elevation attribute is active.
  • If computing in ground distances, the elevation given to point along the reference direction at the specified distance will be the elevation of the starting point or the elevation of the new point, whichever is closer.
