Spiral by Start Tangent, Length & RadiiSpiral by Start Tangent, Length & Radii

Availability: Computations module. (Not available in LISCAD Lite)
Menu Selection: From the Computations task, select the Create/Spiral command and the Method/Start Tangent, Length & Radii command.
Functionality: Creates a new spiral, a new end point and two centre points.

Actions:
  • The OK Button creates the spiral object, a new end point and centre points.
  • The new end point identifier may also be determined by using the Next or Last buttons.
Notes:
  • The elevation control will only be available if the elevation attribute is active.
  • The maximum radius will be the radius at the start point and the minimum radius will be the radius at the end point.
  • Negative radii creates the spiral to the left of the tangent, positive to the right. Both radii must be positive or negative.
  • Tangent bearing set will be the tangent at the start point.
  • The spiral created will be given the currently defined line attributes..
  • The new end point created will be given the attributes of the currently defined point attribute.
  • The new centre points created will be given the next construction point identifier and the attributes defined by the construction point code.
