Create Line By Line & Offset PointLine by Line & Offset Point

Availability: Computations module. (Not available in LISCAD Lite)
Menu Selection: From the Computations task, select the Create/Line command and the Method/Line & Offset command.
Functionality: Creates a new point along a selected line at an angle of ninety degrees to a nominated offset point. Creates a new line between the last point of the current line and the new point.

Actions:
  • The OK Button creates the current point and associated line segment.
  • The new point identifier may also be determined by using the Next or Last buttons.
  • The End Button ends the creation of the current line and allows a new line to be started. The rubber band ceases to be attached to the last created or selected point. The next created or selected point will begin a new line.
Notes:
  • The Elevation Control will only be available if the elevation attribute is active.
  • The line created will be given the currently defined line attributes..
  • The new point created will be given the attributes of the currently defined point attribute.
